Resident Advisor

Resident Advisor (short: RA ) is an international, English-language e-zine of electronic dance music with its headquarters in London .

The online magazine reports on music, DJs, locations and news from the global scene. There are DJ charts, podcasts, photo series and interviews. The content of the editorial team is generally freely available. After registering, you can write comments or create your own (DJ) profile.

history

The website was founded in 2001 by Paul Clement, Nick Sabine and David Berkley in Australia with the aim of reporting on the local dance scene. A year later, reporting began worldwide. In 2011, a Japanese-language version was opened.

Best DJ of the year

From 2006 to 2016, the magazine organized fan surveys from which the most popular DJs were selected every year.

In 2017, Resident Advisor stopped polls. The reason given by the editorial team was that in previous years only men had been chosen, which resulted in a distorted picture of the electrical scene.
