Reynal & Hitchcock

Reynal & Hitchcock was a publishing company in New York City . It was founded in 1933 by Eugene Reynal and Curtice Hitchcock. Reynal & Hitchcock acquired the rights to Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf für die USA and published an unabridged, translated version on February 28, 1939. He was also the publisher of George Orwell's Dickens, Dali & Others . Other well-known authors whose works (possibly as translations) were published by Reynal & Hitchcock were Bertolt Brecht , Le Corbusier , Rosamond Lehmann , Arthur Miller , John Llewellyn Rhys and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry .

In 1948, Reynal & Hitchcock was taken over by Brace Harcourt Trade Publishers .
