Reynald Lemaître (born June 28, 1983 in Chambray-lès-Tours ) is a French football player who is under contract with EA Guingamp in Ligue 1 .

Career

Reynald Lemaître started his career in 1996 with the French capital club Red Star Paris . He went through some youth teams there before moving to the football boarding school Center technique national Fernand-Sastre in Clairefontaine-en-Yvelines in 1998 , which is considered one of the nine elite academies of the French Football Association. After a year of boarding school, he joined SM Caen in 1999 . In 2002 he was appointed to the professional squad of SM Caen, which was then playing in Ligue 2 , the second highest French division. In 2004 Lemaître rose with the SM in Ligue 1 , to be relegated again in 2005. In 2007 the promotion was made again, this time the SM Caen was able to establish itself in the first division.

After a total of 82 first and 89 second division games (with seven and eight goals respectively) he joined league rivals AS Nancy after ten years at SM Caen for the 2009/10 season , for which they paid a transfer fee estimated at one million euros. There, after three years and 74 top division games with two goals in the summer of 2012, his contract was not renewed. The player was without a club for a few months before he found a new employer in the second division club EA Guingamp in January 2013 .
