Rheinfranken Düsseldorf (officially: Turn- und Sportverein Rheinfranken Düsseldorf eV ) was a sports club from Düsseldorf . The first women's soccer team once took part in the DFB Cup .

history

The association was founded in 1908. The soccer players rose in 1991 to the then second-class Regionalliga West and always fought against relegation. In 1993, the team qualified for the first and only time for the DFB Cup. After a bye in the first round Düsseldorf's met in round two on the TV Jahn Delmenhorst and subject to its own place with 4: 2. In 1995, the Rheinfranken-Elf reached their sporting zenith in fifth place, before the team was relegated from the regional league a year later.

In 2003, Rheinfranken Düsseldorf merged with Alemannia 08 Düsseldorf to form DJK SC Flingern 08 . This association had to file for bankruptcy in October 2013 and was dissolved.
