The Rheinpark-Center (RPC) (formerly Huma-Park ) is a shopping center in the Hammfeld district of Neuss, east of the port .

The Huma Park was created in the 1970s. In 2008 the ECE Group took over Huma-Park and renamed the shopping center the Rheinpark-Center . Around 140 retail stores with a sales area of 37,300 m 2 are spread over three levels of the shopping center. The anchor tenants are Peek & Cloppenburg , Saturn , C&A and Real . The center has a total catchment area of ​​over 600,000 people and has 1,000 workplaces in the company. An average of 12,511 visitors come per day, around 4 million per year, whereby the distribution on the weekdays shows a strong concentration of visitors on Fridays, Saturdays and long weekends due to the decentralized location of the shopping center.

history

The HUMA shopping park was opened in 1977 and until the end of the 2000s had 30 shops, including a. a supermarket and a hardware store. After the takeover of the ECE Group on January 1, 2008, the Huma Park was rebuilt, with the majority of the old structure being taken over. It was revised and moved to the new building, i. H. integrated into today's Rheinpark-Center. Despite the takeover by ECE in 2008, the name "HUMA shopping park" was used until 2010. The opening of the shopping center as a Rheinpark-Center took place in two phases. The first construction phase was opened on February 18, 2010, the second construction phase on April 1, 2011.

The Rheinpark-Center is located in the immediate vicinity of the federal highway 57 and the federal highway 1.
