Rhino Island (from English rhino 'rhinoceros' ) is a narrow island off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It belongs to the Rauer Islands and is located northeast of Filla Island and south of Slon Island .

Australian scientists named it descriptive because its shape is reminiscent of the head of a hornless rhinoceros .
