Rhoda is part of Möbisburg-Rhoda , a district of the city of Erfurt , the state capital of Thuringia .

Rhoda is located southwest of the state capital Erfurt on the eastern edge of the north-sloping slope of the Steigerwald and east of Möbisburg in a deeply cut valley at 293  m above sea level. NN .

history

On October 13, 1193, the village was first mentioned in the Mainz document book II 583. The village was a clearing settlement that had to serve several lords. The place belonged from 1435 to the office Wachsenburg , which in 1640 to the Duchy of Saxony-Gotha , from 1672 to the Duchy of Saxony-Gotha-Altenburg and in 1826 to the Duchy of Saxony-Coburg and Gotha . From 1920 Rhoda belonged to the state of Thuringia .

In 1949 there were 252 people in the village. On July 1, 1950, Rhoda was incorporated into Erfurt. As of December 31, 2011, 1,096 people lived in the partner districts.
