Rhythms del Mundo - Cubano Alemán is an album from 2008 that is based on the album Rhythms del Mundo - Cuba from 2006. German artists, including Rosenstolz , Xavier Naidoo , Ich + Ich , Die Fantastischen Vier , 2raumwohnung , Silbermond , Culcha Candela , Juli , Udo Lindenberg and Jan Delay , play new versions of their well-known songs together with Cuban musicians.

Emergence

Most of the bands involved did not record their song together with the Cuban musicians, but sent a recording of their song to Cuba, which was then used to create a new instrumental version. With this new vocal recordings were made in Germany. Annette Humpe and Adel Tawil from Ich + Ich and Stefanie Kloß from Silbermond , on the other hand, traveled to Cuba especially for the recordings.

One euro from every CD sold goes to the climate protection organization Artists' Project Earth , which had already released the album Rhythms del Mundo Cuba .

One week after its release, the album reached number 8 on the German sales charts.

concert

On August 31, 2008, the musicians involved gave a joint concert with their songs in the summer garden of the International Radio Exhibition Berlin (IFA). The proceeds from this concert also went to the Artists' Project Earth .

Single releases

The track 36grad from 2raumwohnung was released as a single on August 22, 2008; This July life followed on December 5, 2008.
