Ria Sabay (* 26. September 1985 as Ria Dörnemann) is a former German tennis player .

Career

Sabay started playing tennis at the age of five. She preferred the hard court. In 2008 she achieved her best results in the world rankings with 347th place in singles and 238th place in doubles .

She ended her professional career in favor of studying medicine at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . The now four-time German tennis university champion in singles used to play in the Bundesliga , for the TC Union Münster she still competes in the 2nd Bundesliga.

On October 23, 2010 Sabay took part in the television game show Schlag den Raab . She is the only woman in the show's history who couldn't win a single game there.
