Ribbenstedt

Ribbenstedt was the name of an independent municipality in Saxony-Anhalt from 1950 to 1991 .

The community was east of Weferlingen in the state of Saxony-Anhalt , from July 25, 1952 in the district of Magdeburg and from October 3, 1990 again in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The closest larger communities were Oebisfelde and the district town of Haldensleben .

history

The municipality was created on July 1, 1950 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities Ribbensdorf and Siestedt , which belonged to the district of Gardelegen and with the merger moved to the district of Haldensleben . The district of Siestedt received the new name Ribbenstedt I , while Ribbensdorf now operated as Ribbenstedt II .

On January 16, 1974, the northern neighboring municipality of Klinze was incorporated into the municipality of Ribbenstedt.

On July 2, 1991, the municipality Ribbenstedt was renamed Siestedt. At the same time, Ribbenstedt I was renamed to Siestedt and Ribbenstedt II to Ribbensdorf.

Since January 1, 2010 the area of ​​the former municipality Ribbenstedt belongs to the city of Oebisfelde-Weferlingen .
