Ricardo Jorge Cecília Batista (born November 19, 1986 in Setúbal ) is a Portuguese soccer goalkeeper who is currently under contract with the Portuguese first division club Sporting Lisbon .

He could not prevail against regular goalkeeper Tiago Ferreira and is only third choice behind Rui Patrício . From 2004 to 2008 he was under contract with Fulham , but was only used once in the League Cup . On January 22, 2011 - Batista played on loan for SC Olhanense - he tested positive for the doping substance Prednin and was banned for two years at the end of July.
