Ricardo Lynch (born September 20, 1984 in Spanish Town ) is a former Jamaican track cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2004 Ricardo Lynch was invited to the World Cycling Center in Aigle for a training stay by the Union Cycliste Internationale . In 2006 he won the silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Cartagena, Colombia, and a bronze medal at the Pan American cycling championships, both in the Keirin .

Two years later, Lynch finished second behind Chris Hoy and ahead of Arnaud Tournant at the 2007/08 Track Cycling World Cup in Copenhagen in the Keirin , thus qualifying for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . He finished 17th in the Keirin. He was the first Jamaican cyclist in 16 years to take part in the Olympic Games. From 2006 to 2008 Ricardo Lynch started three times at the UCI track world championships . In 2009 he resigned from active cycling because his association gave him too little support.
