Richard FitzRoy , also called Richard of Lincoln , (* before 1101; † November 25, 1120 before Barfleur ) was an illegitimate son of the Anglo-Norman ruler Heinrich I Beauclerc from the Rollonid dynasty . His mother was Ansfride.

Richard accompanied his father to Normandy in the winter of 1118 on a campaign to subjugate rebel barons. In February 1119 he was involved in the capture of Breteuil , which was defended by his full sister Juliane, who was also rebelling . The castle of Breteuil was then entrusted to him by his father. He then took part in the siege of Évreux and fought on August 20, 1119 in the victorious battle of Brémule against King Louis VI. of France .

After the pacification of Normandy, the king's court intended to return to England in the autumn of 1120. When crossing the English Channel, the " white ship ", in which several members of the royal family were traveling, crashed on a rock in front of Barfleur and sank. Among the victims were Richard FitzRoy and his legitimate half-brother and heir to the throne, William Ætheling .

He remained unmarried and childless.
