Richard Foltz (2015)

Richard C. Foltz (born April 19, 1961 ) is a Canadian scientist who specializes in the history of Iranian civilization. He has a PhD in Middle Eastern History from Harvard University . He has taught at Kuwait University, Brown University , Columbia University and the University of Florida . He is currently a professor at Concordia University in Montreal .

Foltz emphasizes the importance of Iranian civilization in world history, especially in the field of religions. He has also written on environmental ethics and animal rights , especially in Muslim contexts.
