Richard Jones (born September 12, 1978 in Cambridge ) is an English pool player . His greatest successes to date have been his participation in the 9-Ball World Cup in 2010 and victory at the Austria Open 2011 .

Career

At the German Open 2007 , Jones reached the round of 16 of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time . However, he lost this against Ralf Souquet 6:10. At the Austrian Open 2008 he lost 6: 9 in the round of 16 against eventual tournament winner Nick van den Berg . Four months after he achieved his greatest success to date with the quarter-finals at the 2010 French Open , he took part in a World Cup for the first time . However, he lost both preliminary round games of the 9-Ball World Cup in 2010 and was 97th. In the summer of 2011, Jones won the Austria Open, his only Euro Tour tournament to date.
