Richard Korn (born October 3, 1871 in Berlin , † April 26, 1940 in Berlin-Charlottenburg ) was a German politician and incumbent mayor of the city ​​of Gladbeck .

Richard Korn graduated from high school in 1889 and did his military service as a one-year volunteer with the 3rd Guards Regiment on foot . He studied structural engineering at the Technical University of Charlottenburg and passed his main examination in 1895 before he was employed as a government building manager in Charlottenburg, Schöneberg and Potsdam. Richard Korn received his doctorate in April 1905 and continued to work in various building administrations. In 1909 he acted as town planning officer and member of the municipality of Graudenz . In 1914 he had to do military service and was last captain of the Landwehr . In 1920 he moved to Westphalia, where he became a town planner in Gladbeck. Appointed second mayor of the city in August 1931, the commission to lead the city administration as mayor came at the end of the year. He remained in this office until 1934, when he retired at his own request.
