Richard Müller (life dates unknown) was a German football player .

Career

Müller initially belonged to the reigning Berlin champions BFC Preussen , for whom he played in the championships organized by the Association of Berlin Ball Game Clubs as a midfielder in the 1899/1900 season and thus contributed to defending the championship. In the following season, the BFC Preussen won the championship again, but without him, he had joined the league competitor BTuFC Britannia 1892 , who finished the season in third place.

In the Berlin championship in 1901/02 , which was held for the first time in two groups , he and his team emerged as the winner of group 1 and met in the final against BTuFC Viktoria 89 , the winner of group 2. On May 4 and 11, 1902 in Hin The final and the second leg ended with victories for the visiting team, so that the champions had to be determined in a third game that became necessary. With the 5: 1 victory, BTuFC Viktoria 89 secured its sixth Berlin championship since 1893.

In the two following seasons he prevailed against BTuFC Britannia 1892 in an eight-team group with four and one point gap in front of BTuFC Victoria 89 and thus won his first two titles. He also took part in the two finals for the German championship . On his debut on May 10, 1903 at the Friedenau sports field in Berlin, he was defeated in the quarterfinals by the eventual first champions, VfB Leipzig , with 1: 3, scoring his first goal with the final score in the 88th minute. He played his last two final round matches with the quarter-finals and semi-finals on April 24th and May 8th, 1904.
