The Berlin soccer championship of the VBB 1902/03 was the sixth Berlin soccer championship held under the Association of Berliner Ballspielvereine . This year's championship was played in a group of eight participants. The BTuFC Britannia 1892 prevailed and after 1898 became Berlin football champion of the VBB for the second time . With this victory, Britannia also qualified for the first ever German soccer championship , in which the Berliners were eliminated after a 3-1 defeat against eventual German soccer champions VfB Leipzig . The BFC Hertha 1892 was deprived of all points due to the use of a player who was not eligible to play and the games were rated as a victory for the respective opponent. Nevertheless, it was not Hertha that rose, but the originally last-placed BFC Concordia 1895 .
