Richard Metz

Richard Metz (born June 1, 1865 in Cologne , † July 8, 1945 ) was a German judge .

Life

His denomination was initially Catholic, then since 1891 "Free Israelite". He passed the first state examination in 1887 (sufficient), the second in 1891 (good). The next year he became an assessor at the Cologne District Court . As a public prosecutor he worked at the Elberfeld Regional Court in 1897 and at the Bonn Regional Court in 1906 . There he became a member of the public prosecutor's office in the same year. In 1908 he became a member of the chamber judge at the chamber court in Berlin. In the Weimar Republic , at the age of 61, he made the leap to the bench of the Reichsgericht (1926). He was retired on July 1, 1933. He died on July 8, 1945.
