Richard Graf von der Schulenburg (born June 11, 1974 in Bielefeld ) is a German musician . He was a member of the band The stars and works as a solo artist and House - DJ .

Live and act

Richard Graf von der Schulenburg comes from the Schulenburg family . He grew up in Leopoldshöhe and founded his first school band Holy Cow in 1990 , which disbanded in 1993. In January 1994 he dropped out of school and then worked in various temporary jobs.

In 1995 he moved to Hamburg and two years later founded the Top Banana Trio with Henrik Lafrenz and Annette Kerschbaum . From 1998 it consisted of Richard and John Raphael Burgess, together they played among other things as the opening act for JaKönigJa . From 1998 to 1999 Richard von der Schulenburg played with the Hamburg punk band Soup de Nüll , consisting of him, Henrik Lafrenz, Rainer Heesch and Torben Widdermann.

From July 1999 he organized monthly themed evenings, first under the motto “That will be beautiful”, from 2000 then “That was beautiful” in the Meanie Bar in Hamburg , where songs by ABBA , AC / DC and Pink Floyd were performed on the organ . In November 1999 Schulenburg's first solo single called Die Meanie Bar Orgel was released .

In January 2000 Schulenburg became a member of the band Die Sterne . The star took his piece Budapest sleigh ride as a contribution to the feature film In July of Fatih Akin on. In August 2002, his first solo album was released This is nice on the label age L'd'or . At the end of 2007 he founded the jazz ensemble 440HzTrio with John Raphael Burgess and Olve Strelow , which in 2012 recorded an album entitled "Jzz & Lyrk" with Jacques Palminger from Studio Braun .

Since 2008 he has been running the label it's , which publishes house music, together with the Hamburg musician Jimi Siebels .

In July 2009 he left the group Die Sterne after nine years and has since worked increasingly as a solo artist and DJ under the name RVDS .

He also works as a theater musician , a. a. at the Deutsches Theater Berlin , and has been running the it's label alone since 2010 .
