The Richardson Bluff is a steep-walled rock cliff on the Pennell Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Anare Mountains , it towers across from Frecker Ridge on the eastern flank of Kirkby Glacier .
Scientists from the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) made the name. It is named after Sergeant Alan Keith Richardson (* 1930) of the Royal Australian Air Force , a crew member on the Antarctic flight as part of the ANARE campaign with the ship Thala Dan to explore the Oates coast in 1962.
