Richardson Island is an island on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of Princess Elisabeth Land, East Antarctica . In the area of the Larsemann Hills , it is the more westerly two islands around 600 m west of the northwestern extension of the Stornes peninsula and 1 km south of Knuckey Island .
It is named after Alan Keith Richardson (* 1930) of the Royal Australian Air Force , mechanic for a DHC-2 Beaver at Mawson Station in 1958.
