The city is part of the Bulandshahr district . Sikandrabad has the status of Nagar Palika Parishad . Sikandrabad is approx. 504 km from Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow and approx. 76 km from Delhi . It belongs to the National Capital Region . The city is divided into 25 wards (constituencies).
history
Sikandrabad is a historical city that was built by Sikandar Lodi around 1498 . Some old monuments from that period still exist.
Demographics
The population of the city is 81,028 according to the 2011 census. Sikandrabad has a gender ratio of 922 women per 1000 men and thus a male surplus typical for India.
