Rick Yancey

Richard "Rick" Yancey (born November 4, 1962 in Miami , Florida ) is an American writer .

Life

He earned a BA in English from Roosevelt University in Chicago and then worked as a teacher and actor. He later worked for the US tax authority, the IRS . He has been a freelance writer since 2004, starting with the publication of Confessions of a tax collector , in which he described his work as a tax investigator. As a result, he has published several series of novels for children and adults, which earned him, among other things, a nomination for the Carnegie Medal . In January 2016, the film Die 5. Welle , based on his novel of the same name, was released in German-speaking cinemas.
