The Ridnauner Bach , also called Mareiter Bach or Ridnaunbach , is a right, 25 kilometer long tributary of the Eisack . Its main tributaries are the Ratschinger and the Jaufentaler Bach. The Ridnauner Bach flows through the Ridnaun valley and drains an area of 212 km² and flows into the Eisack at an altitude of 935 meters on the southern edge of Sterzing . In the catchment area of the Mareiter Bach there are currently many small and two medium-sized discharges for electricity generation. The most important places are Ridnaun and Mareit .
