The riese electronic was an enterprise with the business areas Electronic Manufacturing Service and Automation supplied & Safety, which components for automation and safety technology.

A total of 100 people were employed at the Horb am Neckar ( Baden-Württemberg ) and Langenwolschendorf ( Thuringia ) locations . The company was also involved in an EMS operation in Hungary and maintained cooperation with Chinese business partners.

history

The company was founded in 1958 by Roland Riese in Stuttgart as a development company for electronic assemblies and devices. Due to a lack of capacity, the company moved to Schönaich near Böblingen in 1964 . In the same year, the electronic control for the world's first ticket machine was developed. In 1969, again due to insufficient capacity, the company moved to the Hohenberg industrial area in Horb am Neckar , where it still has its headquarters today. In 1991 riese electronic opened a branch in Zeulenroda-Triebes , which later moved to the neighboring municipality of Langenwolschendorf. The company has been involved in an EMS service provider in Hungary since 2006. In 2006 the business areas were realigned.

  • Electronic Manufacturing Service offers service, development, production and testing of customer-specific electronic assemblies and devices.
  • Automation & Safety offers components for automation and safety technology. The manufacture of safety switchgear, timing and measuring relays as well as measuring devices for the concrete industry also takes place in this division.

The company filed for bankruptcy in 2014 and closed on July 1, 2015.

Group structure

Oliver Riese has been managing director and owner since 1998. Roland Haidysek has been the second managing director since 2013.
