Langenwolschendorf is a municipality in the Thuringian district of Greiz . The fulfilling municipality is the city of Zeulenroda-Triebes .
geography
Langenwolschendorf is located in the Thuringian Slate Mountains not far from the Zeulenroda dam and extends over a length of 3.5 km. Langenwolschendorf is completely surrounded by the town of Zeulenroda-Triebes and its districts.
history
The place, founded around 1300 and first mentioned in 1399 as Wolframstorf , was part of the town of Zeulenroda from 1919 to 1925. In World War II, died on 100 Langenwolschendorfer, the place itself was however spared from fighting. In 1948 over 1,400 people lived in the village, including many resettlers and refugees .

politics
The city of Zeulenroda-Triebes has been the fulfilling community for Langenwolschendorf since 1997 . In 1994, 87.2% of the citizens voted against the planned incorporation into Zeulenroda.
Mayor Gisbert Voigt is a volunteer and has been in office since 2010. In the council sit for the municipal election in 2014, five representatives of the CDU and the Free three Wählergemeinschaft Langenwolschendorf.
Culture and sights
Each year, the city celebrates the Linde hard , so named after the landmark Langenwolschendorfs, a centuries-old local Linde, about which several legends entwine. This tree stood in the middle of the B94 and was replaced by a new plant in 1985. In the center of the village is the restored chamber property. Prince Heinrich 42. Reuss younger line built his “manor house” around 1790 into his summer residence. At the same time, he had a viewing pavilion built for himself on the apex of the “Schönen Höhe”, known locally as the “Lusthaus”. There he wrote his book "A Manuscript for Good Friends". The pavilion was destroyed in 1945. A replica was inaugurated in 2013. The townscape is dominated by the Schulberg with the Art Nouveau school building built in 1908, the baroque local church from 1726 and the old school from 1830. In 2009, the town won the Thuringia state award in the competition Our village has a future . In the 2010 national competition, the achievements of the village community were honored with a bronze medal. Every year the community publishes the local writing "Lindenblätter" with reports in words and pictures on local history. Economy and Infrastructure
Langenwolschendorf is on federal highway 94 . In addition to the local agriculture, several retail establishments, including a hardware store and a furniture store, as well as an electronics manufacturer have set up shop in a medium-sized industrial area.
The next station is the lower station in Zeulenroda on the Werdau – Weida – Mehltheuer railway line . Until 1999, the upper station of the Zeulenroda light rail was the next station.

The most successful sports club is the SG Langenwolschendorf with its bike ball team. Langenwolschendorf has with the sports field on the Schönen Höhe a facility with a grass pitch for the local soccer club Langenwolschendorfer Kickers eV The 1st team of the Langenwolschendorfer Kickers plays in the 1st district class of the East Thuringia district.
