Weißendorf is a municipality in the Thuringian district of Greiz . The fulfilling municipality is the city of Zeulenroda-Triebes .
geography
The 12th degree of longitude runs through Weißendorf . The place is located in the Thuringian Slate Mountains near the Zeulenroda and Weida dams .
The town of Zeulenroda-Triebes encloses the municipality.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1268 under the name Wizcendorf. In the Middle Ages the important salt road from Halle to Nuremberg ran through the town. Ecclesiastically it belonged first to the parish Hohenleuben , since the Thirty Years War to the church's drive. Weißendorf had market rights . On June 5, 1957, the tragic end of the sickle mill took place. Barn and stables fell victim to the flames. In 1965–1966 the mill was torn down, the first mention of which was not possible. During the GDR era, the cooperative companies built a potato sorting plant, warehouse, feed factory and stables. These are used today by medium-sized companies and retailers. Zeulenroda-Triebes has been a fulfilling municipality for Weißendorf since February 1, 2006 . Triebes previously held this position. Together with the Weidastausee , the local area is now well developed for tourism.
Until 1995, Weißendorf was a member of the Triebes administrative association . The local kindergarten is now located in the former Weißendorf manor house.
Weissendorf manor
In the center of the elongated village was the important manor of the Lords of Dobeck (since 1495). Around 1600 the manor became the property of the von Kauffung family and in 1643 to the Lords of Zehmen . In 1643 the widow of Hans Bastian I von Zehmen , Marie Salome vZ (née von Bottfeld ) bought the Weissendorf manor from H.Cph. v. Kauffungen. Hans Bastian III. von Zehmen sold it to Count Heinrich XI in 1753 . Reuss older line . Later it went to a gentleman from Brandenstein and in 1870 Hans Friedrich v. Take. His widow Helene Mathilde Ida vZ (née von Seydewitz ) sold the manor and archive to the tenant in 1897. Associated with the possession of the manor was patrimonial jurisdiction in the form of higher and inheritance jurisdiction over eight farms in Triebes and inheritance jurisdiction over Weißendorf and parts of Niederböhmersdorf . The lower jurisdiction was abolished on January 1, 1855.
