Bocka is a municipality in the Greiz district in Thuringia . It is located about nine kilometers northwest of Weida and is a member of the Münchenbernsdorf administrative association .

Neighboring communities are Harth-Pöllnitz , Hundhaupten , the city of Münchenbernsdorf and Zedlitz .
The community of Bocka consists of the localities Großbocka and Kleinbocka .
history
Großbocka was first mentioned on September 24, 1267, Kleinbocka in 1351.
On July 1, 1950, the municipality of Bocka was created through the merger of the former municipalities of Großbocka and Kleinbocka.

Worth seeing
A few hundred meters south of Kleinbocka, immediately next to the B 2 , there is an A-tower , a broadcasting building of the former GDR.
