Rahamat Riga Mustapha (born September 11, 1978 in Accra , Ghana ) is a Dutch football player who is currently under contract with the Spanish second division club FC Cartagena . It is often called “Riga” for short. He can play on the outside as well as in the storm.
Player career

The native Ghanaian Riga Mustapha, who also has a Dutch passport, started his career as a footballer at Vitesse Arnheim , where he was unable to assert himself in the five years that he was under contract there. In the 2000/2001 season he was loaned to RBC Roosendaal . In 2003 he left Roda anyway and signed with Sparta Rotterdam , where he found his old form again by 2005. Between 2005 and 2008 he played in the top Spanish division for UD Levante .
After the relegation of UD Levante, the former U-21 international of the Netherlands signed a new contract with the English first division side Bolton Wanderers for the 2008/09 season. The commitment of the fast-paced winger was officially published on August 1, 2008. A day later, he was already in a friendly against Chorley FC. He made his Premier League debut on August 23, 2008 against Newcastle United. He was substituted on in the 85th minute.
In January 2011, his expiring contract with the Bolton Wanderers was not renewed. In March of the same year, the Dutchman signed a contract with Cartagena FC .
