Rik Wouters
Rik Wouters (born August 21, 1882 in Mechelen , † July 11, 1916 in Amsterdam ) was a Belgian painter and sculptor .

Wouters studied at the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles . Since 1905 he lived with Hélène Philomène Lionardine Duerinckx, called Nel, together, who became the main subject of his work.
