Rikshovitsman
Rikshövitsman ( German Reichshauptmann ) was a late medieval office in Sweden . The Rikshövitsman , who was elected by the imperial assemblies, was commander-in-chief for the national armies in the Union Wars against the Union kings of the Kalmar Union . Ua had Engelbrekt Engelbrektsson 1435-36 and Karl Knutsson 1436-39 held this position. The office was the military equivalent of the Reichsverweser .
