The beef labeling monitoring delegation Act ( RflEttÜAÜG ) was in 1999 in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern part of a legislative proposal with the full name Rinderkennzeichnungs- and beef labeling monitoring delegation Act ( RkReÜAÜG , ). This law should regulate the delegation of the supervisory tasks of the labeling of beef and the identification of cattle.
When the law was introduced into the state parliament , some of the MPs burst out laughing. The Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Minister of Agriculture Till Backhaus then apologized for the “possible” excess length of the legal title. The law actually adopted on 19 January 2000 is law for the transfer of responsibilities for monitoring the cattle identification and beef labeling , the official short title is Rinderkennzeichnungs- and beef labeling monitoring delegation law . The law was repealed on May 29, 2013.
Beef labeling monitoring delegation law with 63 letters of the longest actually used compound nouns of German language (especially since there is a valid English word to describe a now historical fact also remains with the repeal of the law). In 1999 the word was proposed by the Society for German Language for the election of the word of the year . This word was also an essential impetus for the linguist Gerhard Augst for a study on multiple compounds that appeared in the yearbook of the Institute for German Language . In this study, Augst notes that the number of such long words - tapeworm words - has not increased significantly in the last hundred years in contrast to short words and abbreviations .
Longer words
From 1992 to 1996 the standing Guinness World Records the name of a Donaudampfschifffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft whose existence is but questionable.
In December 2003, through the back repealed in November 2007 land transaction approval transferring responsibilities Regulation ( GrundVZÜV 67 letters), a new record set, which, however, its profit the constituent Regulation owed.
