Rio Branco Order
The Rio Branco Order (officially Portuguese Ordem de Rio Branco ) is an Order of Merit of Brazil and was established on February 5, 1963 by President João Goulart . The order is named after the politician and statesman José Maria da Silva Paranhos , Baron of Rio Branco (Barão do Rio Branco), who operated the definition and consolidation of Brazil's national borders at the beginning of the 20th century (1902–1912). The Grand Master of the Order is the respective President of the country.

The sign of the order is a white-enamelled four-armed eight-pointed cross with a gold armillary sphere in the middle and a blue-enameled circle with the inscription Ubique Patriae Memor
