The Ripple Lake ( English for Riffelsee ) is a 200 m long lake on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It is in the Vestfold Mountains . A hill rises up on its north bank .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1983 after the ripples in the striking sandbanks on its west bank.
