Risto Kallaste (born February 23, 1971 in Tallinn ) is a former Estonian national football player. His son Ken Kallaste is also active in the Estonian national team.

Career

Kallaste began his career at the Tallinna Lõvid club , where he did not take part in any league games in the first year. After the year at the club he moved to the capital Tallinn club SK Tallinna Sport , where he played 35 league games and scored three goals. As with the first club, he was only under contract with this club for one season and resigned after the year. In 1990, Kallaste moved to the Gunnilse IS club , where he did not play any league games in the first year. A year later he played 14 league games, of which he was able to score three goals.

After two years at the club, he canceled his contract and moved to FC Flora Tallinn , where he was under contract for three years. In his first year he took part in eleven league games, but he could never score a goal. In the 1993/94 season he played 20 league games, of which he hit the goal three times. In his last season at the club, he could not score any goals. During the three years he completed 43 league games, with three goals in the end.

After three years with the Estonian club, he moved to the Danish club Viborg FF , where he was under contract for the 1995/96 season. During the season he took part in 26 league games and was able to score seven times. In 1999, after a three-year hiatus, he returned to Estonia , where he stayed for the rest of his career. His first stop was FC Kuressaare , where he was under contract from 1999 to 2001. In 1999 he did not play any league games, the only year in which he played league games was 2000. That year he played 15 league games and scored five times. As in the first year, he did not take part in any league games in the last before taking a four-year break.

After the break, he signed a new contract with FC Nõmme United , where he was under contract until 2008. In 2006 he played ten league games and scored five goals. In his second year at the club, he played twelve league games and scored one goal. In a league game he was able to participate in 2008, in which he scored a goal. After three years he was able to show 23 league games and score nine goals. His last two years (2009, 2010) he played at the club Eesti Koondis , where he completed five league games and scored one goal.
