Rita Mažukėlytė-Petra (born September 18, 1985 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian national soccer player.

Career

societies

Rita Mažukėlytė started her career at Vilniaus FM in 2003. After two years with Vilnius, she moved to FK TexTilitė Ukmergės in May 2005 and from there after a year to FK Vetra Vilnius . She scored 24 goals in 28 games for Vetra before joining the team at Gintra University Šiauliai . After two years at Gintra Universitetas, she went to Denmark in the summer of 2010, to FC Damsö. In the Danish second division she developed into a top performer. She left the club in the summer of 2012 to take an 11-month break due to pregnancy.

In January 2013 she returned from maternity leave and signed with FC Aarau in the NLB in Switzerland . In August 2013 she joined FC Staad, who plays in the NLA. Half a year later she played on loan for FC Weinfelden-Bürglen until the end of the 2013/2014 season . In summer 2014 she returned to FC Staad and scored the equalizer in her first championship game against St. Gallen to make it 2-2. On the 3rd matchday she scored the winning goal to make it 1-0 against leaders FC Basel. On the 8th matchday she scored the 2-0 final score against league leaders FC Luzern. Due to professional reasons that made a move necessary, she switched to SC Schwyz in the NLB in January 2015. She has been playing for the Rapperswil-Jona football club since July 2017 and was promoted to the NLB with them in the 2017/2018 season. She has scored 11 goals in 24 championship and cup games.

National team

Mažukėlytė has been a player in the U-19 national team since 2003 and at the same time since 2003 a national player for the Lithuanian national football team . Since then she has played in 80 international matches for her home country and scored 9 goals. She played her last international match before her second birth on August 30, 2015 against Estonia and crowned her performance with a 1-0 goal and the 2015 Baltic Cup. After the birth of her second child in July 2016, she was born on August 8, 2015. On 10th and 10th February 2017 again for the Lithuanian national team against Malta, as part of a friendly match trip, accrued from the start. On March 12, 2017, she played in the Aphrodite Cup in Cyprus against Bahrain (2: 0), on March 13, 2017 against Estonia (0: 0) and on March 15, 2017 against Malta (1: 1, 4: 2 after penalty) from the beginning. They won 3rd place in the tournament without losing. As part of the World Cup qualification for the 2019 World Cup, she completed 3 more international matches from the start against Israel, Moldova and Andorra in April 2017 and 2 more against Latvia and Estonia in the Baltic Cup. In the Baltic Cup 2019 she met Estonia to the 2-0 final result.

Personal

Rita Mažukėlytė studied business management at Vilnius University and sports at Gintra Universitetas in Šiauliai. In 2012 she completed both courses with a bachelor's degree . During this time, she also attended the football coaching academy of the Lithuanian Football Association in Kaunas and successfully completed this with the completion of the UEFA B license. She is married to a fitness and personal trainer and has a daughter born in 2012 and a son born in 2016.
