The River Dee is a river in Cumbria , England . The River Dee arises from the confluence of the small Hazel Bottom Gill and various small streams on the northern slope of Blea Moor .
The River Dee initially flows north. The river follows the course of the Settle – Carlisle railway line until it turns south of Dent Station in a westerly direction and flows south of the Aye Gill Pike through the Dentdale Valley.
West of Sedbergh the River Dee flows into the River Rawthey .
