Rob Widdershoven

Robbert Joseph Guillaume Marie "Rob" Widdershoven (born February 6, 1959 in Heerlen ) is a Dutch law scholar and professor at the University of Utrecht .

Live and act

After graduating from high school in 1977, Widdershoven studied law and political science at the University of Utrecht at the Bernardinuscollege in his home town of Heerlen . In 1983 he passed his exam there. From 1987 he worked as an assistant professor at the Dutch Institute for Social and Economic Law at the University of Utrecht. There he was in 1989 with that of th Gio mountains and Frits Stroink supervised administrative signature "Gespecialiseerde fairly addressed in het administratieve right," Dr. iur. PhD. A year later he was appointed Associate Professor of Environmental Law at the University of Utrecht in Utrecht. In 1993 he became an associate professor for general administrative law. Since 1997 he has been a full professor of European administrative law at the University of Utrecht.

Widderoven's research focuses primarily on the influence of European law on the administrative legal systems of the member states, in particular in the areas of judicial protection including court administration, law enforcement and general legal principles. In addition, there are two current projects in which he is evaluating the new legal protection system in tax matters on behalf of the Dutch government and carrying out a comparative study on cross-border cooperation in enforcement matters.
