Coordinates: 37 ° 10 ′  S , 139 ° 45 ′  E The District Council of Robe is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of South Australia . The area is 1091 km² and has about 1400 inhabitants (2016).

Robe is located in the southeast of South Australia about 270 km southeast of the metropolis of Adelaide . The area includes eleven hamlets and towns: Boatswains Point, Bray, Comung, Greenways, Konetta, Lake Eliza, Mount Benson, Noolook Forest, Nora Creina, Robe and Woodleigh. The council is headquartered in the port town of Robe on Guichen Bay.

The Robe Council has seven members and six councilors are elected by the residents of the two wards (four from the Town, two from the Rural Ward). These two districts are defined independently of the localities. The council chairman and mayor is also elected by all residents of the LGA.
