Rober Racine

Rober Racine (born August 6, 1956 in Montreal ) is a Canadian installation artist , author and musician.

After studying literature at the Sainte-Thérèse College and art history and film at the University of Montreal , Québec , he devoted himself to his own works. He is a professor of art at the University of Montreal and the Université du Québec à Montréal .

Rober Racine is known for transforming words into music, images and gestures in his works. He has taken part in numerous international exhibitions, including the Biennale di Venezia and the Biennale of Sydney in 1990 and the documenta IX in Kassel in 1992 . In 1995 an extensive retrospective took place in the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal and in the P3 in Tokyo. Racine published the novella Le Mal de Vienne in 1992, produced several documentaries and radio plays for the CBC / Radio-Canada , in 1984 a video J'aurais dit Glenn Gould and composed music for dance and performances.
