Robert Štěrba (born March 6, 1961 in Prague ) is a former Czechoslovak cyclist and today's Czech bicycle manufacturer and collector.

During his active time Robert Štěrba started for the cycling team of " TJ Dukla Prague " and was one of the most successful racing drivers in Czechoslovakia in the 1980s. He won five national titles, four in the single pursuit and one in the two-man team driving (with Aleš Trčka ). The greatest success of his career was winning the bronze medal in the team pursuit at the UCI Track World Championships in 1983 in Zurich , together with Pavel Soukop , Aleš Trčka and František Raboň .

After the end of his active career, Štěrba worked as a mechanic for the national team. After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, he traveled to Switzerland and learned the craft of frame builder from his compatriot there, the developer Bob Štícha , as well as in Swiss companies. There he built z. B. a track bike for the multiple Swiss world champion Urs Freuler . He later returned to his homeland and opened his own bicycle production facility there. In addition, he built up one of the largest private bicycle collections.
