Robert Archibald (polo player)

Robert "Rob" Archibald (born January 12, 1984 ) is an Australian polo player living in England with a handicap of 6.

He commutes between his home in England , his native Australia and Argentina , where he trains with polo star Bautista Heguy . Archibald, who has only been playing the sport professionally since 2002, is considered a rising star in the polo sky. In 2007 he and his team won the Gold Cup in Deauville , France , and the Kerry Packer Challenge Cup. He was also represented at the Coronation Cup in Australia in 2008. At the St. Moritz Polo World Cup on Snow in 2010 he and his Cartier team won against the Julius Baer team . In the current world rankings, he is ranked 69th with 138 points.

Both his father and his two uncles were polo players.

In 2009 Vanity Fair magazine named him one of the ten hottest polo players in the world.
