Robert Baldwin "Robbie" Ross (born May 25, 1869 in Canada ; † October 5, 1918 ) was a journalist and art critic . He is considered to be Oscar Wilde's first lover . He is best known as the administrator of Oscar Wilde's estate .

Oscar Wilde was married to Constance Lloyd when he first saw the 17-year-old. Robert Ross later said he was the first "to have an Oscar". When Oscar Wilde fell in love with Lord Alfred Douglas , this marked the end of the close relationship with Robert. Nevertheless, Ross remained his editor , took care of his estate and after Wilde's death published De Profundis , among other things , which he had written during his time in prison.

In 1950, on the 50th anniversary of Oscar Wilde's death, Ross's ashes were buried in Wilde's tomb.
