Robert Baumann

Robert Baumann (born November 20, 1882 in Reeserward ; † after 1933) was a German farmer and politician ( center ).

Life

Baumann attended the Rector's School in Rees and the Cleve Agricultural School . From 1910 he was a landlord in Reeserward, where he mainly dealt with horse breeding. From 1903 to 1904 he did military service in the field artillery in Munich and from 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . During the war he was deployed on the western front, most recently as lieutenant in the Landwehr and battery leader of the 1st battery of the 1st Bavarian Reserve Field Artillery Regiment. For his achievements as a soldier he was awarded the Iron Crosses I. and II. Class as well as the Bavarian Military Merit Order IV. Class with Swords.

Baumann was from 1925 a member of the district council and the district committee in Cleve district . In 1926 he became First Alderman of the Rees Land Office. From March 1933 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament for a few months .
