Robert Develey

Robert Develey (born January 16, 1930 in Lausanne ) is a Swiss ENT doctor and student historian.

Life

After graduating from high school in Basel , Develey first studied philosophy, then medicine at the University of Basel , the University of Lausanne and the University of Paris . In Basel and Lausanne he was an active member of the Swiss Zofingerverein from 1949 to 1956 . In Basel doctorate he 1962 Dr. med. He was a first lieutenant (battalion doctor) in the Swiss Army .

In 1966 he settled in Basel as an ear, nose and throat doctor . He was consultant at the Felix Platter Hospital and head of the theater doctor service at the Basel Theater .

In 1979 he established the Zofingia Museum in the Zofingen City Museum . For this he received the Zofinger Association's Ruban d'honneur in 1979 . In the same year he was one of the curators of the exhibition Couleur Students in Switzerland at the Museum der Kulturen Basel . For the Basel Carnival he was a piper and lantern painter. At the ceremony for the 175th anniversary of the Basel Zofingers, he gave the speech in 1996. The Swiss student historians dedicated a commemorative publication to him for his 90th birthday.
