Robert Francis (born September 25, 1987 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American singer-songwriter .

biography

Robert Francis has a very musical background. His father is a pianist and producer, his mother, who is from Mexico, a ranchera singer. Ry Cooder is a family friend and gave him his first guitar when he was nine. At the age of 16 he received exclusive guitar lessons from John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers .

Three years later he released his debut album One by One , which received good reviews and helped him to a contract with the major label Atlantic . His second album Before Nightfall , which was created with the help of Oasis producer Dave Sardy , was also released there. While success in the USA did not want to set in, Robert Francis had his breakthrough in France in early 2010.
