Robert Gäpel

Robert Gäpel (born February 13, 1900 in Luthe ; † July 21, 1998 in Evessen ) was a German author who wrote in Low German and High German .

Gäpel was a soldier in the First and Second World Wars. As an office clerk and authorized signatory , he worked in the pharmaceutical trade. He has also been writing Low German stories and poems since 1949. In 1968 he received the Freudenthal Prize of the Freudenthal Society for his Low German poems. Gäpel lived in Evessen .
