Robert Grützmacher

Robert Grützmacher (born July 20, 1891 in Bromberg , † December 1, 1970 in West Berlin ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Robert Grützmacher attended a middle school and from 1904 a commercial advanced training school. In 1908 he did an apprenticeship as a druggist and worked as a clerk. He joined the SPD. Later he was a sales representative in the chemical industry in Berlin. After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists , Grützmacher started doing illegal work in 1933.

After the Second World War , Grützmacher worked again as an independent sales representative in the chemical industry. From 1945 he was district leader of the SPD in the Friedrichshain district and was elected to the city ​​council of Greater Berlin in the first Berlin election in 1946 , and left parliament at the end of 1948. Grützmacher was a member of the Economic Policy Committee of the SPD Berlin .
