Robert Grubb

Robert Grubb (born January 31, 1950 in Hobart , Tasmania , Australia ) is an Australian actor . In Germany he was mainly recognized by his role as Dr. Geoff Standish known in the series The Flying Doctors .

Life

It wasn't until the age of 26 that Robert began his training as an actor at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and graduated in 1978. After graduating, he was drawn to the stage at the South Australian Theater and made a name for himself as a singer. The first film roles soon followed. He played in the films Gallipoli and Mad Max - Beyond the Thunder Dome .

Robert's breakthrough came with his role as Dr. Geoff Standish in the series The Flying Doctors . He can be seen in this role from episode 17 and was part of the permanent staff until the end of the series in 1991.

Then he went back to the theater. Most recently he played in many well-known musicals, such as Phantom in Phantom of the Opera , Harry Bright in Mamma Mia or Hippie Pop in We Will Rock You .

Robert Grubb can also be seen in the short films Black Button and The Window . These were created in collaboration with his son Hayden, film student and founding member of Dark Heart Productions.

He is married to Robin Silver and has two sons, Emerson (* 1982) and Hayden (* 1985).
